This colorful Victorian home is attractively situated on a corner in a charming neighborhood of tree-lined streets. It will steal your heart with its striped awnings and multi-colored fish scale shingles crowning the dormer windows on the second floor.
The house was divided into a duplex, with your private unit occupying one half of the building. You have your own separate entrance accessible from the expansive, shady front porch. On your side of the porch, enjoy outdoor meals at a café table with seating for four.
Just inside your front door, you’ll be greeted by a warm, welcoming open concept living space with a huge kitchen island/breakfast bar at its center with stools for three.
On one side of the island, a multi-purpose space includes a plush, extra-large chair and an oversized ottoman/bench beside a bright double-wide window, as well as a collection of folding chairs and a gateleg table for meals and games. And speaking of games, there are two shelves of family games for your entertainment, as well as a large wall-mounted TV!
The cozy kitchen provides a homey place for preparing meals, with its honey-hued cabinets and brick backsplash. Enjoy a suite of stainless-steel appliances that includes a microwave, a range with a cooktop and oven, and a high-tech refrigerator/freezer with in-door ice and water dispenser and an oversized LED display. A large double-sided sink will make clean-up easy, and you’ll appreciate the little extras like a tea kettle and blender.
A laundry room off of the living area provides a full-size washer and dryer, ironing board and iron for your convenience.
Upstairs in the sleeping quarters, everybody gets to sleep in a gorgeous, sleigh bed! There is one There’s one in each of the two bedrooms, and both bedrooms offer a TV and a closet as well.
The closet in the larger of the two bedrooms is a king-sized bed and walk-in that incorporates shelving. Also in this larger bedroom, you’ll find a work space that includes two desks, a desk lamp, and a comfortable executive desk chair, positioned in front of a double-wide window, uplifting your mood with natural light as you work. The other bedroom has a queen-sized bed.
The bathroom provides a combination tub/shower with a glass enclosure, as well as a sink vanity with storage below and a medicine cabinet flanked with additional open shelving.
Hotel-grade linens are professionally laundered after every visit.

Guests will have full access to this unit. The walls are shared with the other townhome attached. The porch is shared but long enough so you can have your own space while the other tenant will stay on his side. There is no garage access allowed.

Although the home doesn't have central AC our evenings in this region are generally cool in the summer time, simply opening the windows will provide natural coolness. We do have a window AC unit in each bedroom that can be installed in the summer months.

Clean well-appointed stay near to Colorado College
This was a great value and short drive from Colorado College. It was well appointed with everything we needed to cook/bake and had all new appliances and flatscreen TVs in every room. The property is charming and unique. Things to know: 1) The living room area does not seat more than 2 comfortably on the small couch so this is not the place for a group to hang out. 2) The house was originally built in 1890 so has a narrow steep (carpeted) staircase that could be challenging for someone not steady on their feet. 3) The neighborhood is a bit run down. It felt safe, but there is nothing to walk to nearby so plan to drive to restaurants/shopping. 4) It has great closet space in the bedrooms and lots of hangers. 5) The property manager was very responsive. We had a minor issue with the refrigerator and when we contacted the manager maintenance came in less than half an hour to fix the problem. A

BEWARE of comfort! Great place.
The property was clean and easy to find via Google Maps. Instructions for entry and amenities were clear. Stairs are steep, but manageable, however not recommended for anyone with knee issues. Beds were OVERLY soft and brought my girlfriend and I to the middle each night (we slept in 1 bed each night). We rafted in Royal Gorge (1:05 drive) and the drive up was beautiful. Would recommend this house, but know how soft the beds are. B

Father/Daughter Trip
It was a nice location for what we were doing in the area. The place itself was nice , although we did have an issue with a mouse but it was handled. Super comfortable beds. Ample street parking. Neighborhood was quiet. Kitchen was well stocked.
