Located just south of Downtown, this neighborhood presents established homes, many from the turn of the 20th century, in the process of transition. Some parts are gorgeous, others are rougher around the edges, but what is UNEQUIVOCAL is the energy of this neighborhood. Some of the finest, trendiest dining establishments in Colorado Springs are just a block or two away. Be sure to check out Shuga's for a wholly authentic, bohemian-chic. Streetcar 520, Dos Santos, Coquettes are all award-winning restaurants. There are cafes (The Exchange), breweries (Gold Camp Brewing Company), old-school-cool Italian places (Luigis) and plenty of additional opportunities if you're willing to walk 4 or 5 blocks, instead of 2! Although there are exceptional entertainment, dining and recreational opportunities within walking distance to this vacation rental, we still recommend that you have a car or use Uber or Lyft when traveling in the Pikes Peak Region. Their are also scooters that can be used all around the downtown area. We're happy to provide bus schedules and maps too if you'd like to use public transportation.

* Garbage bins are located in the back alley. Please let us know if the trash is overflowing - we will fix that for you!
* White Honeywell Thermostat controls the baseboard heating is a backup only. Please leave at 55 degrees.
* The Heat/AC temperature is controlled off of the Mini Split on the living room wall. Please use the remote to control the settings and temperature of the home.
*We appreciate your understanding about the house next door which, while somewhat run-down, appears to be unoccupied. Despite its outward appearance, it doesn't detract from the comfort and tranquility of our home.

Impressively clean and had everything we needed!Show more The property is beauty. It looks just like the photos, but the only concern I had was privacy. There is no gate in the backyard. When I arrived I opened the back door and saw a man sitting on the porch. Thank goodness my friend was there, but as a solo traveler it did alarm me. The hosts responded quickly to all of my inquiries. The location is beautiful. You have a perfect view of the mountains. I would definitely stay again.Show more The airbnb itself was nice and exactly as listed. Philip was very attentive as well.
However, we did not have a good experience on our last night there. A homeless man tried to enter the back door several times. Luckily it does have a deadbolt so he was unsuccessful. We ended up calling the police, but he was gone by the time they got there. It's in a very good location to access downtown Colorado Springs, but I did not feel entirely safe. You also have to rely on others staying there to keep the front building door locked. We found the people staying upstairs never did so I was constantly locking it.Show more
