The space Permit: A-STRP-22-0040 Welcome to the Satellite Hotel, a high-rise Colorado Springs landmark that has preserved the best of its retro 1960s architecture, but with updates everywhere they matter for comfortable, contemporary living. While the Satellite’s history began as a hotel, today it serves as a combination hotel/condominium. Lucky you! You get to stay in a coveted corner unit with the best views of Colorado Springs and the majestic mountain range as its backdrop. The outer walls are lined with huge floor-to-ceiling windows that open onto an L-shaped terrace that hugs the exterior of the entire unit, giving you walk-out access from the living area and both bedrooms. The minute you step through the front door, you’ll be wowed by the view. The main living area incorporates a spacious seating area and an eat-in kitchen. The cooking center of the kitchen is tucked behind a low wall that still allows you to enjoy the sweeping living room views as you stand at the counter and prepare meals. Exceptionally comfortable furnishings stand opposite a large TV, including a leather sofa and two stylish, sculpted easy chairs with coordinating ottomans. Sink in and put your feet up after a day of adventure. There is an unobstructed view from the seating area into the dining end of the kitchen, appointed with a bar-height table and stools for 4. The cooking area is well arranged with generous, parallel countertops and optimized space for storage with plenty of cabinets and drawers. Enjoy the use of a suite of full-size appliances that includes a refrigerator/freezer, range with cooktop and oven, dishwasher and microwave. Your mornings will get off to a pleasant start thanks to the addition of a coffee maker and toaster. One of the unit’s two bedrooms is a primary suite incorporating a private bath with a combination tub/shower and a walk-in closet. A king-size bed is appointed with a high-quality orthopedic mattress, and a dresser provides additional storage. A sliding glass door opens onto the terrace where you can settle into one of the outdoor chairs and enjoy an unhurried cup of coffee in stunning surroundings. The second bedroom also enjoys terrace access, and is furnished with a queen-size bed (also with an orthopedic mattress), a large closet, and a dresser. Early Check-in Requests We cannot guarantee an early check-in before 4pm as we need time to make sure this property is perfect for you before your stay! Please message us on the day of your arrival to see if the property is ready no earlier than 2pm. Check-in Process: -Guests will need to enter the unit prior to 10pm on their initial day of check-in to obtain the after-hours key card to enter the lobby at any time. The lobby doors lock after 10pm. The after-hours key card will be ready for you inside the unit once you check-in. -Our guests are not registered at the front desk and will not need to interact with them. Please contact us as your virtual front desk. All guests will need to complete our secure, online ID Verification process to receive the door code and check-in instructions. Similar to hotels requiring photo ID upon check-in, we ask that guests provide a copy of their Government Issued ID, matching selfie and credit card to verify identity. This is used to prevent fraudulent reservations, identity verification and for the safety of all guests and homes. We take data security very seriously. NO Dog Policy This property maintains a no-pet policy for the comfort and convenience of all our guests. Type of Cooling for the Home Central AC units are best kept at 68 degrees or above. Due to the lack of humidity in the area if the thermostat is lowered below 68 degrees it is possible that it can freeze the unit if it is working too hard. Unfortunately, it will take 24 hours for the unit to defrost before an HVAC specialist can service it. Our evenings are generally cool in the summertime, simply opening the windows will provide extra natural coolness. The AC has been shut off for the year by the HOA but a portable AC can be provided. Locations of All Security Cameras 1. Camera mounted on the balcony facing the mountain range only. It is on and operating. This video footage is not shared and is recorded for liability reasons in the cases of a break-in, death, injury and in no way infringes upon the guests’ expectations of privacy in these public areas of the property.
