This neighborhood just a few blocks northwest of Downtown Colorado Springs is in transition, and offers exceptional urban amenities in a semi-suburban environment, where the homes date from the turn of the last century, the streets are lined with trees, and there's a sense of the classic and the good. Walk to Downtown from here, or just a few blocks south where you'll find some of the city's best cafes (Rosco's), restaurants, breweries (Cerberus Brewing) and night-spots (503W, Benny's). Old Colorado City, with its artisan shops, restaurants, galleries and unique, western-artisan-chic is just a few blocks to the west. All of the west-side destinations for travelers and guests are close by—places like Garden of the Gods, Manitou Springs, the Incline, and the base of Pikes Peak—all just about 5 minutes away by car. There is plenty of COS goodness here: defined by the combination of both the urban and the natural, the familiar and the spectacular.
Although there are plenty of restaurants, bars, cafés, craft breweries and outdoor recreational opportunities close to this property, we recommend that you have a car or use Uber or Lyft when traveling in the Pikes Peak Region. We're happy to provide bus schedules and maps too if you'd like to use public transportation.

* There are window AC units located in the upper bedrooms

Similar to hotels requiring photo ID upon check-in, we ask that guests provide a copy of their Government Issued ID, matching selfie and a credit card to verify identity. Philip was a very responsive host and I appreciated him getting back to me so quickly. The beds were so comfortable in this home and the kitchen is so well stocked. There is a pretty strong sewer smell in the house so we bought some air fresheners to plug in during our stay. Our other issue was that there is only seating for three people in the living room. Even though the picture shows the couch with three seats, we were hopeful that a picture had not been taken from another angle, showing some additional seating. When a house sleeps six, Normally one would expect that there would be enough seating in the living room where people usually hang out together. I think if a couple of chairs were added to the living room, it would be very nice.Show more I really hate to leave such a distasteful review, but I have to tell the truth! For beginners, altogether, with lodging and all fees included, I paid Philip $605.61. This experience was surely not worth it & this property is overpriced! Let's start, upon check in, the host gave me the wrong door code. Once that matter was remedied, I entered the house to find out that the inside thermostat read 92 degrees. I reached out to the host (Philip) regarding this, and the host told me that the thermostat was located next to the "large mirror" in the kitchen. This proved to be false as there was a sign above a thermostat (located in the home) that said "No Central A.C., please do not turn on the thermostat". I sent a picture of this to the host and he stated that he was sorry that he got the property confused with another. The doorknobs in the bedrooms were faulty, there were spiders galore, and the home was saturated with heavy stains. There were a host of issues. I will never stay here again!Show more We had a fantastic stay at Philip’s Airbnb. The house was spotlessly clean. The location was perfect. We especially appreciated the thoughtful touches like laundry detergent, paper towels, trash bags and lots of towels - we are a family of 5 and this was handy. We did had a little trouble with the door code but Philip was quick to respond. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and we would definitely stay here again!Show more
