You’ll enter this home after parking in the private driveway or the private 2-car garage using the private key-code provided to you at check-in. Immediately you’ll be presented with an inviting open space lighted warmly and naturally by the many windows. This home has two levels, and you’ll have the option to descend to the ground level as you enter, but more on that shortly.
The main living room is open and bright, with vaulted ceilings, wood beams, and westward facing windows up high. There’s a wood-burning fireplace that just invites a warm, relaxing evening on a cold Colorado winter’s night. The furnishings are tasteful and appropriate, warm without being too much. The furniture is modern and comfortable. Just beyond the living room is the practical, fully-functional kitchen ready for your culinary creations, with a formal dining room with seating for six.
Walkout from the kitchen onto the quality composite deck, into the backyard and a small piece of paradise. There’s outdoor seating, a gas grill, and an expansive area to gaze up at the stars on a clear Colorado night. You’ll notice too (especially if you have kids) the swing set and jungle gym complete with a climbing wall and a clubhouse! The backyard itself is spacious and green in the summer — ready for a football toss or just some time breathing the fresh mountain air. The globe lighting at night presents a warm ambiance, ready to entertain.
Back inside on the main, upper level are two of the home’s three bedrooms, including the master, with comfortable King bedding. The second bedroom also offers a Full, and both are serviced by a modern, updated, stand-out bathroom both inviting and ready for business with dual sinks, stone counters, tile bath and more. The third bedroom is downstairs, but to access it you’ll have to make your way through a welcoming, relaxing space with comfortable leather sofa, and a fully functional wet bar. There’s an additional walk-out on this level for easy access outside.
There’s also plenty of functional storage space, including a large storage room and a utility room with a full laundry for guest use. Just down the hall is our third bedroom with comfortable Queen bed and quality linens, professionally laundered. There’s also a desk and office area for work (if you must)! Located northeast of Downtown and just off the energetic Powers corridor, the Old Farm neighborhood has long been known as a hidden gem in the local real estate lore. Close to exceptional shopping, dining and entertainment options, it nonetheless retains a unique, quiet, comfortable and unaffected atmosphere. The homes are large, the trees are mature, the trails and parks are abundant, and here the kids still ride their bikes in the street on a sunny day. On a rise just east of town, the views of the Front Range and Pikes Peak, “America’s Mountain,” can be incredible and unobstructed. The sense of “apart” here is real, but it’s balanced with exceptional access to the Airport, to the Air Force Academy, Peterson & Schriever AFB and so much more.
Shopping, entertainment and restaurants are very close with the First and Main district just about 2 miles away. A myriad of other cafes, restaurants, bars, grocery stores & department stores are all just about a mile away. There are almost too many dining and shopping options to mention and combined with the trails here, the parks here and the travel access — this neighborhood really does earn its “hidden gem” status and we feel presents the perfect balance of urban amenity with quiet, functional suburban appeal.
We recommend that you have a car or use Uber or Lyft when traveling in the Pikes Peak Region. We're happy to provide bus schedules and maps too if you'd like to use public transportation.

Our entire house was completely destroyed by a plumbing leak on 7/26. Hoste worked directly with our insurance company in booking & extended our stay as necessary. Hoste was very quick & responsive to any issues we had.
Perfect location. Close to Powers with a lot of stores, restaurants & gas stations. Walking trails & nearby park. Quiet & peaceful neighborhood.
This property met & exceeded our family & pet needs. It’s a wonderful layout for a larger family. My husband & I slept in the walk out basement while our daughters slept upstairs.
Enjoyed sitting outside on the deck in the a.m. /evening watching all the blue jays & squirrels play. Our 2yr old & dogs loved playing in the beautiful backyard.
Owner just updated w/ all new stainless steel appliances & hot water heater. I love the huge laundry room with extra big washer/dryer & clothes rack. The showers have awesome water pressure.

FYI: There are no TVs in bedrooms.Show more This home needs major updates. I had them return to clean the house and fix the master bed because I thought it was going to break. I picked this area because the house was in a good neighborhood. I booked for a month because I needed a safe place to stay with my family. The hot water heater needs to be replaced because the water comes out rusty brown and changes the colors of your clothes. I contacted hosted multiple times to have things fixed and the different crews showed 4-6 hours late. I wanted to be home because my family was in the house. I asked to have the codes changed and that seemed to be a problem because I wanted the codes changed for safety. They provided the codes to the workers and they couldn't grasp that. Once they finally changed it, I was locked out because multiple hostees changed the codes and failed to give me the correct one. If I'm going to pay $4K for a home, I expect quality service. I have a bunch more to say but I hit the major areas.Show more I stayed in this home for two months. It really ended up feeling like home. The neighborhood is very quiet. There's lots of trails to walk with your dogs. The backyard is completely fenced in so I felt safe having my dogs there, and they LOVED playing with the squirrels. Plenty of items in the kitchen that you might need for making any kind of dinner. The Master Bath shower is really great. I would have stayed longer if I could have.
