Everything was great host was very responsive very helpful This weekend was supposed to be a nice romantic staycation for my husband and I. We have one year old twins and life is hectic. <br/>We found out that the Governor had declared North Carolina in a State of Emergency! <br/>I requested to change the date. Ideally, I would’ve loved a partial refund. <br/>However, I do understand the business side of things.<br/>We simply asked to have a new date and were met with unreasonableness. <br/>The host even said, <br/>“Just interested, what date were you trying to change it to?” Still proceeded to say no, <br/>Why even ask? <br/>For kicks? <br/>The home is nice and we were looking forward to enjoying ourselves. The host was insensitive to the fact that we would be putting our lives in danger had we checked in.<br/>Before you book with this host, be sure not have emergencies come up. You will be met with a firm, “I do not care!” This is a solid place to stay for the cost. My stay was 6 days in total. The location was close to downtown, but it is located in a part of east Durham where some may feel unsafe at night. This is building with a few apartments on each floor and the front door of the building does not lock automatically. So sometimes I would try and unlock the front door and notice it was already unlocked. It is also by a railroad track and there is often an early morning train. Not a major deterrent, but if you are a light sleeper, this may be a point to consider. The main driver for the 3 star review was the apartment was not the cleanest upon arrival. The counters, refrigerator door, and the mirror had stains and smudges on them, and the shower floor had a lot of dirt on the floor. I was able to get in touch with the host and he was able to have the cleaner re-clean the parts I mentioned, but not everything was cleaned well. If the place was cleaner I would give it a higher rating Clovice

The place was awesome, clean and peaceful. The unit itself was very clean. Will definitely book again!
