This offering in the circa 1900 neighborhood is only used for guest stays. It is a very nice, 1 bedroom, private entrance, private suite we call "The Uptown Flat". Just minutes walk away from all Old Downtown restaurants, coffee shops, bowling alley, 2 breweries and assortment of Downtown stores and events. The space Those who are looking for a very clean, quiet stay, this may be the perfect place for you :) Professionaly run, The Gadabout Guest House and Inn is an excellent choice for extended stays! Location is fantastic, right in the heart of Downtown WF. It is an easy walk to all the downtown restaurants, bars and shops with easy in and out onsite parking... Between stays we wash not just the towels and bedding but also comforters, matress covers, throw blankets and steam clea all floors each and every time. We take pride in the knowledge that The Gadabout is a step above in cleanliness:) Book with confidence! Named The Gadabout Guest House and Inn, The Gadabout was approved by the town of Wake Forest to become an upscale commercial Inn/Bed and Breakfast with up to 8 guest suites. Around the same time in 2016 Airbnb was also emerging and it was decided to offer The Gadabout through Airbnbs' platform. It has worked out great, both for our guests and host:) Covid....We use commercial steam cleaners for all floors and wipe down surfaces with approved CDC disinfectants. These cleaners are also stocked in suite and available for guests. These high standard cleaning steps have always been in practice as standard room cleaning and disinfecting at The Gadabout. We also periodically ozonate Suites. Now back to what you would have been reading if Covid was never here:) This is a mother in law style 1 bedroom, 1 bath, separate suite with private entrance and private off-street parking that is only used for guest stays. The Uptown Flat is quality lodging with a nicely equipped full kitchen and laundry room. Oak hardwoods and travertine tile floors throughout. Porcelain, cast iron tub and kithchen sink, both with tile surrounds. We will gather the towels and strip the bedding after your stay. This is a very clean and well built structure. Strong WiFi and smart TV with expanded cable and premium channels. Perfect for the business person or travelers alike. USB charging ports are available on the bedside outlet the lamp plugs into. What is a Gadabout? [gad-uh-bout] noun a person who travels often or to many different places, especially for pleasure. Our other guest suites, " Base Camp "built for the stately adventurer at heart :) features a large tiled spa like bath, kichenette, huge windows and large open, airy living area. Nicely dressed with an abundance of crown and wainscot moldings, hardwoods and tile. "The Heritage" if you are looking for something larger, this is considered our executive lodging suite. It features a larger, extremely spacious 2 bedroom with full kitchen and walk in laundry room. All Hardwoods and tile. Well stocked for cooking and cleaning basics. Nicely equipped and set up for the extended stay :) "The Quarterdeck" my favorite....
