Beware. After I paid the original amount, I was contacted and told there was a pet fee — even though I had already made it clear that I don’t have any pets. The next day, I was sent a link for a “damage waiver.” When I clicked it, it took me outside of the Airbnb site and only offered two options: pay an extra $50 or leave a $1,000 deposit. This felt very shady because the price had already been agreed upon, and now they were adding more charges.<br/>I contacted the owners, and they claimed it was in the listing description — it wasn’t. I then reached out to Airbnb support, and they reviewed it and confirmed it was not listed anywhere. I tried to get the fee waived, but the host stopped responding. I was stuck four hours away after working a full day, just trying to resolve this. Airbnb also couldn’t get a hold of the owners, so they finally refunded me.<br/>Overall, terrible service.<br/>Airbnb support was great!
