The neighborhood is quiet and residential, and located just minutes (or seconds!) from one of the most well-known and well-publicized attractions in Colorado Springs. Garden of the Gods is a magical, world-renowned expression of Western, natural beauty. Red rock formations tower hundreds of feet above visitors at the base of the foothills of the Rockies and Pikes Peak. This location is also close to some other, amazing attractions including great food and drink in Old Colorado City and Manitou Springs. Pikes Peak itself is just a few minutes to the west. Downtown Colorado Springs is just a few minutes to the east. A perfect location!
There are many natural attractions extremely close by and also restaurants/bars/coffee shops within walking distance but we recommend using an Uber, Lyft, or having your own rental car when coming to Colorado Springs. A bike too! RIDE Colorado!

Amenities
Do NOT recommend! After check out the host requested more money, claiming we had pets at the property. I told him there were 4 deer in the yard, which I have pics of. He sent random pics of the ground and said his cleaning crew saw pet fur and droppings. Absurd!. Our airline tickets show no pets registered during our trip from Georgia to see my son at Ft. Carson.
-Broken pool table and sticks
- Hot tub worked one day with sand/substance blocking the filter
-Dish washer did not clean the dishes
-Ice maker was “not listed under amenities”.
-TV in one room didn’t work at all, TV in living room sporadically worked.
-The guest bath is super small and missing the plastic shower curtain
-One of the gas stove eyes has to be lit with a lighter
-Storage closet was full of clutter.
-Neighbor dog constantly barks
-Homeless man showed up claiming the owner asked him to clean up a dead pine tree Stephanie

We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful home! It felt like we were in a secluded, cozy cabin, yet it’s in a quiet neighborhood convenient to the best recreation and features in the area like Garden of the Gods, Cave of the Winds, the Incline, and Red Rocks Canyon. Old Colorado City and Manitou Springs are just minutes away, with many local artisans, boutiques, and great restaurants. (We enjoyed local cuisine at Colorado Mountain Brewery, Adam’s Mountain Cafe, and Crystal Park Cantina.) We started everyday drinking coffee while gazing at the mountain views from the open living room with a big stone fireplace and wooden beams. There’s a hot tub in the back, pool table, chef’s kitchen, and extremely comfortable master bed. I had the best sleep I’ve had in years. This place is a haven in the heart of the city! We will definitely book it again! The location was fantastic. We hiked Garden of the Gods every day and visited Manitou Springs multiple times. The hot tub was awesome!
This would have been a 5 rating except the master bed mattress was too soft. We actually moved into a different room for a more firm mattress.
That said, I would recommend this listing to others! First the good: the home was clean & well furnished. Check in/out was easy & the host a as responsive.
Now the bad: the rear section of the backyard is not fenced so pets need to be leashed when you let them out. Its not private in the winter. There are no leaves on the trees & windows on 2 adjacent homes can be seen from the hottub. The next door neighbor's dog barked throughout the day. The worst part about our stay was after checkout when the host contacted us to accuse us of bringing 2 dogs instead of 1 & leaving pet waste. After I sent him the reservation for 2 dogs, he blamed airbnb for the mixup & said they didn't charge us for the 2nd dog & requested more money. As for the pet waste, my husband meticulously disposed of our dogs' waste & waste from other animals (either from previous guests or errant pets/wildlife that wandered into the unfenced yard). We take care of our hosts' homes as good or better than we do our own. This is our first problem with airbnb/vrbo.
