We were a group of 9 people who were frustrated since the Airbnb we had originally booked did not meet any of our expectations. We booked Carter’s home very last minute on Christmas Day and were lucky enough to see that it was available.<br/>The home was modern with lots of amenities and it was CLEAN.<br/>It’s located 5 minutes away from all the good restaurants and shopping outlets so it was really amazing. The home is spacious, clean and located in a quite neighborhood <br/>Carter communicated with us diligently and replied to us within 30 minutes of sending any messages and picked up the call when we called him for the access code on Christmas Day so that really stood out to our group.<br/>In conclusion, if you are ever in Austin and are looking for a modern brand new house to stay for your group; look no further and book Carter’s place <br/>You won’t be disappointed! The house is new and is very nice. but there are some small issues and oversights: I think most of this is because it is a new home and the Host was not that familiar with it yet. The ice-maker didn't work (for us), the blinds have no obvious way to retract or lower (they do, but never seen that type before), the address is missing "#2" so it's easy to think you are in the front unit, but you are in the back unit, and there is no dining room at all and this was a bummer for us. Also, a comprehensive instruction book is missing and this would have helped with the blinds and the thermostats, which are very modern and not intuitive. Parking is tight if the other units are full- be prepared to back out into the street.<br/>Carter is responsive when it matters, and the listing is very much as described regarding the quality of the home and kitchen and all of that. Great spot! Everything pristine and basically brand new - just as advertised. All the sleeping and living areas well designed and comfortable. Plush couch, linens/bedding, etc. Several hangout areas, and even a separate casita in the back. We didn't need much but Carter was immediately responsive and super easy. <br/>Location is both relaxing and conveniently located to the popular areas (Congress, East Austin, downtown, the lake, even the airport). Can easily walk to the lake for a jog. Peaceful views from upstairs, and we also loved the outdoor area.<br/>Cool house design and would recommend for either small or large groups. Would def stay here next time in Austin!
